The kind invitation of D. Manuel Iñiguez Ruiz de Clavijo y D. Juan María Canals Casas, organizers of the Encounter Journeys with artists, entitled “Art and architecture at the service of liturgy” celebrated during the month of October of 2008 in the headquarters of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, made me consider a revision of my research and practice as an architect centred on the sacred.

This revision will grant me the opportunity to reflect on the way architecture and sacred art are understood in general, as well as on the premises I consider indispensable when confronted to a project of this kind.
