Single-family home in Avila

Place: Avila
Date: 1992
Design/direction: Eduardo Delgado Orusco

This small house responds to the request of a marriage of advanced age that owned a lot in an urbanization to the outskirts of the population abulense, where they wished to be able to spend its last years of life.

That said the order could be a macabre point, but far from this consideration, the couple transmitted a reflection of an enormous awareness of their condition wrapped in a great tenderness. The project also emerged as a response to the extent of its condition, avoiding the stairs and thus developing the entire program in a single plant.

Divided into two substantially similar volumes the house opened towards the south and the front of the house thought to be enjoyed along with his children and grandchildren.
The program of great sobriety contemplated, however, the possibility of an additional bedroom for eventual family visits.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to work for this couple, who saw their wishes fulfilled. Their heirs guard the house as one of their most precious inheritances which manifests itself in the affection and care with which they enjoy it and continue to live it.
